PTP is proud to announce our lineup for the 2026 Scottsville Summer Shorts Local Playwright Festival

This coming June 12 – 14, Persimmon Tree Players, Victory Hall Players, and the Scottsville Center for Arts and Nature will be hosting our second installment of “shorties” at Victory Hall in Scottsville. We had over 20 submissions from local playwrights again this year, and 8 of those submissions will be fully produced and performed!

This is a “pay what you will” event with 100% of the proceeds going to the continued use of Historic Victory Hall Theater in downtown Scottsville.

Victory Hall Theater is over a century old and has played host to countless offerings, including musical acts like Patsy Cline and Hank Williams. This event hopes to aid in the continued offerings of local theatre at Victory Hall while celebrating the creativity of our local talent. We have brought together more than 30 playwrights, directors, actors, and crew for this production
